"The Gen Listen bunch has fun. We share stories, talk about radio shows, and have intellectual conversations that border on the nerdy."
"Generation Listen STL gives voice to our generation of listenership in the community. Whether you're a native or a transplant, GenListen events are a great way to explore St. Louis in new and interesting ways."
We believe a great story can change our day, connect our lives, and broaden our world. We’re interested in preserving and reinvigorating the spirit of public radio. We’re building a community of public radio members who share our passion for creating a more informed and civically engaged public. We want you to join us. Start by becoming a member of St. Louis Public Radio.
On February 15, join Generation Listen STL and St. Louis Public Radio for a Charity Match Making event. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., you can meet representatives from charitable organizations in need of volunteers. Each charity will give a 60-second pitch for your attention, moderated by a St. Louis Public Radio on-air personality. Afterwards, enjoy a complimentary beer from 4 Hands Brewing as you find your charity match. Think speed dating between volunteers and local charities!
General admission for individuals is just $10 and includes 2 drink tickets. Registration for charities is just $20 and includes admission for 2 organization reps, a table for promotional materials and volunteer sign-up, an opportunity to pitch your group to attendees, and 2 drink tickets per person. Up to 35 organizations can sign up.
