ST. LOUIS PUBLIC RADIO NEWS EDITOR

St. Louis Public Radio Ė 90.7 KWMU, NPR affiliate, seeks a full-time News Editor to assign and edit stories; plan, develop, and produce news features and spots for broadcast; prepare and publish news content on stationís website and other social media platforms; and assist the News Director in shaping the overall editorial direction of St. Louis Public Radioís news content through the development of ideas for news stories, features, series, long-term projects, podcasts and other online initiatives. Conduct studio, remote, and phone interviews. Participate in station development and promotional functions. Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelorís degree in communications, journalism or related area, and a minimum of four years journalism or broadcast programming experience is required. Previous public radio reporting, digital editing and online journalism experience is desirable. Someone with a demonstrated understanding of the value of data and visual elements in compelling storytelling is a plus. Experience with editing in a collaborative public radio newsroom is desirable. Candidates for this position must meet STLPRís standard of NPR-style reporting, conversational on-air delivery, and excellent writing and editing skills. Apply online only.
